Black Man, MD | A Desire To Inspire Scholarship

We are ecstatic to announce our new partnership with Black Man MD, through co-sponsoring “The Desire To Inspire Scholarship” this year! This collaboration is a significant step toward our shared goal of promoting health equity, health access, and increasing representation in the medical field.

Why This Matters

Expanding Representation: A diverse healthcare workforce is crucial for providing equitable care and improving health outcomes. When patients see themselves reflected in their healthcare providers, it enhances trust, communication, and overall satisfaction with their care.

Supporting Future Leaders: The Desire To Inspire Scholarship aims to support students from underrepresented backgrounds who are pursuing careers in healthcare. This scholarship not only eases the financial burden of medical education but also fosters a more inclusive healthcare workforce.

How You Can Get Involved

Apply for the Scholarship: If you know a high school student from an underrepresented background who is interested in the field of healthcare, we encourage you to share this opportunity with them! Applications for The 2025 Desire To Inspire Scholarship will open in March 2025! Black Man, M.D. will start accepting donations for the scholarship this fall!

Donate to the Scholarship Fund: The 2025 Desire To Inspire Scholarship Fund is currently accepting donations! The scholarship has reached its fundraising goal over the past six years and is hoping to do so again this year with an ambitious goal! Click the link below to donate a few dollars to the scholarship fund!
